Sun Kissed Smiles Photography Session Contract
A. Location Costs & Fees
If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session, you, the client, will be responsible for those fees. We will let you know if a fee applies. Creative fee covers travel within 30 minutes of Knoxville, TN. Any location outside of these limits will be subject to an additional charge.
B. Rescheduling
Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.
C. Payment
All payments are due in full at the time of your session. If payment is not received we will not release the photos.
D. Damages/Injury
Photographer is not responsible for the damage of portraits after delivery to client. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt.
E. Pricing Guide: A pricing guide is available to all clients upon booking their session. Please review this document in full before booking your session. By signing this agreement you're acknowledging you're aware of the session pricing.
F. Liability
Photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.
G. Copyright & Penalty
Sun Kissed Smiles Photography retains all copyrights to all images created during client’s session. A print release is included with digital files to print portraits for personal use. The print release does not allow publication of your portraits (i.e. entering in contests), selling or altering of your images without the photographer’s written permission. It is illegal to copy, scan, download, print, share, alter, or otherwise steal any image created by Sun Kissed Smiles Photography during client’s photo session. This applies to "sneak peek" images, images posted in an online proofing gallery, blog, Facebook, or hard copy images. If client steals images via any method listed above, or any other method, client will be invoiced for the cost of EACH digital image client has stolen, at photographer’s current price per digital file. This photographer does not give unedited or RAW images to clients for any reason.
H. What to expect
1) THERE WILL BE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS AT YOUR SHOOT. WE SHOOT WITH THE SAME CAMERA, BUT WITH TWO DIFFERENT LENSES.
WHY? THIS ALLOWS US TO GET BASIC FULL BODY SHOTS AS WELL AS CLOSE UP CANDID SHOTS. IT SAVES TIME AND ALLOWS US TO GET TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHOTS AT THE SAME TIME.
2) THE WAY WE DECIDE TO SHOOT AT YOUR SESSION IS A CASE BY CASE BASIS.
WHY? THE REASON WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT LENSES IS BECAUSE THEY DO TWO DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT WE LOVE BOTH. HOWEVER, SOMETIMES ONE LENSE MAY BE MORE BENEFICIAL AT A CERTAIN POINT IN YOUR SHOOT THAN ANOTHER. IN SOME OF OUR SESSIONS ONLY ONE OF OUR LENSES MIGHT BE NECESSARY. WHILE ONE MAY BE SHOOTING THE OTHER MAY BE PLANNING AND PREPARING FOR THE NEXT SHOT, POSING AND STYLING, OR GETTING YOUR LITTLE ONES TO SMILE. WE DO WHAT IS BEST TO GET THE SHOTS THAT ARE NEEDED IN THAT MOMENT. SOMETIMES WE WILL HAVE BOTH CAMERAS POINTED AT YOU AND ARE ABLE TO GET TWO GREAT SHOTS AT THE SAME TIME AND THEY WILL LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
3) IF THERE ARE CERTAIN SHOTS YOU'D LIKE, PLEASE LET US KNOW BEFOREHAND.
WHY? THIS ALLOWS US TO PREPLAN AND PREPARE TO GET EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE WANTING OUT OF YOUR SESSION. THIS ALLOWS US TO SAVE TIME AND GET STARTED MORE QUICKLY. OF COURSE, IF YOU WANT A SHOT WE HAVEN'T TALKED ABOUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO TELL US DURING YOUR SHOOT.
4) BE DRESSED AND READY BY THE TIME YOUR SHOOT STARTS
WHY? THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE YOUR FULL HOUR TO BE USED FOR TAKING PHOTOS AND NOT BEING READY. WE DO SCHEDULE SOME SESSIONS BACK TO BACK AND SO GOING OVER ON YOUR TIME IS NOT ALWAYS AN OPTION IF WE HAVE ANOTHER SHOOT SCHEDULED FOLLOWING YOUR SESSION.
5) OUR TURN AROUND TIME IS 4 WEEKS SO PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US AS WE WORK HARD ON YOUR PHOTOS.
WHY? WE HAVE MULTIPLE SESSIONS WE ARE WORKING ON EVERY DAY. WE KEEP ALL SESSIONS IN ORDER ON WHAT DATE THEY WERE TAKEN. PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR SESSION EARLY ENOUGH TO GET YOUR PICTURES BACK WHEN YOU NEED THEM. YOU DO HAVE AN OPTION FOR AN EARLY TURN AROUND FOR A $40 FEE. THE TURN AROUND AT THAT TIME IF FEE IS PAID IS 2 WEEKS. OCCASIONALLY WE WILL HAVE YOUR PHOTOS DONE EARLIER THAN YOUR DUE DATE, BUT THERE ARE NO PROMISES UNLESS YOU PAY THE EARLY FEE. AS FOR WEDDINGS THERE IS A 12 WEEK TURN AROUND TIME. THE FEE FOR AN EARLY WEDDING TURN AROUND TIME IS $300, BUT WE WOULD STILL NEED AT LEAST 4 WEEKS. THE REASON WE HAVE DECIDED TO CHARGE THE FEE IS BECAUSE IT IS NOT FAIR TO EVERYONE WHO IS WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THEIR PHOTOS THAT ARE DUE TO BE SKIPPED WHILE WE WORK ON "JUST A FEW" FOR SOMEONE TO GET THEIR PHOTOS BACK EARLY AND WHO DID NOT PLAN ACCORDINGLY. ALSO, WHEN SOMEONE ASK US TO EDIT A FEW PHOTOS EARLY LAST MINUTE IT CAUSES US TO WORK DURING OUR FAMILY AND NOT OUR SET ASIDE TIME FOR EDITING.
6) WE DO NOT OFFER A PRICE FOR JUST A "FEW" PHOTOS.
WHY? WE HAVE THOROUGHLY THOUGHT THROUGH EVERY TYPE OF SHOOT AND SCENARIO AND HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. WE ARE GOING TO KNOW WHATS BEST FOR WHAT YOU ARE WANTING DURING YOUR SESSION. WE ALSO KNOW THAT A "FEW" PHOTOS ALWAYS TURN INTO A FULL SESSION. IF WE GIVE EVERYONE EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE ASKING THEN WE WOULD NOT PROFIT FROM THIS BUSINESS AT ALL. WE ARE TRYING TO BE SUCCESSFUL BY DOING WHAT WE LOVE AND PLEASING OUR CLIENTS WITH BEAUTIFUL IMAGES, BUT IN ORDER TO DO SO WE MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPORT OUR FAMILIES WITH THIS BUSINESS. PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO LOWER OUR PRICE OR GIVE YOU A DEAL. WE REALLY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO TELL YOU NO, BUT WE HAVE TO BECAUSE WE HAVE TO DO WHAT IS FAIR TO ALL OF OUR OTHER CLIENTS AND TO OURSELVES.
